Powerful and green-herbaceous on the nose, with crushed tomato leaf, green banana and a distinct black-pepper pungency. The palate is full and coating, building into a long, phenolic burn that lingers at the back of the throat — the signature of a high-phenolic Koroneiki blend.

The story of this lot

The P.J. KABOS Family Reserve line is produced by the KABOS family in the Peloponnese, a region whose olive culture stretches back to the Mycenaean era. The Family Reserve Organic Robust is selected from early-harvest Koroneiki and Olympia olives, pressed the same day they are picked and bottled in a light-protecting matte black glass.

At 699 mg/kg total polyphenols, this is a very high-phenolic oil, well above the EU threshold for the health-claim related to olive-oil polyphenols. The free acidity sits at 0.25%, and the oil is certified USDA Organic and Kosher, with full traceability from the family's groves to the bottling line.

The 500 ml bottle is sized for the kitchen counter: enough volume for daily cooking and finishing, while the dark glass and tight screw cap help preserve freshness after opening. It is a staple of the OlivePrestige Greek selection, and one of the best-selling single-bottle oils in the range.
